national braille awareness month
January is National Braille Awareness Month, during which organizations like Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired celebrated the 200th anniversary of Louis Braille's birth, the man who adopted a French military way of communicating in the dark.  In 1914, Clovernook established the Braille Print House, which is now one of the world's largest producers of Braille products -- over 45 million pages of Braille material a year.  To learn more about Braille, or the Clovernook Center, call 513-728-6238 or email tmontgomery@clovernook.org.

It’s a whole new take on learning virtue!  FX – The Family Experience is a 50-minute program that uses music, storytelling, theatrics and audience participation to teach children (and their families) about virtue.  Scott Hanbury and Geln Garvin are the monthly hosts that take the audience on some crazy adventures as they learn about qualities like determination, gratitude, fairness, hope, generosity and more.  It all takes place at the Wellspring Community Church, 7689 Bethany Road in Liberty Township.  This month’s performance takes place on Jan. 10 – visit fxatwellspring.com for the full scoop!
